Yoofi Grant, Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC), has been recognized for his active participation in youth empowerment and the development of Cape Coast as a capital city.
Yoofi, whose singular vision is to make Ghana the “Best Place in Africa to Invest and Do Business,” was honoured at this year’s Ogua Fetu Afahye in Cape Coast.
Yoofi Grant, the CEO of GIPC, received a citation from the Cape Coast Youth Association as part of the day’s festivities for his active contribution to youth empowerment and the development of the Central Region.
Yoofi took to Instagram to thank the overlord of the Oguaa Traditional Area for the honour bestowed upon him.
“Thank you for honouring me this weekend, Osabarima Kwesi Attah II, Omanhene of Oguaa Traditional Area, Entrepreneurs Foundation of Ghana, Cape Coast Youth Development Association, and the entire Oguaman.”

ABOUT YOOFI GRANT
Yoofi Grant is the current Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre, a position he was appointed to in February 2017 by H.E. President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
Mr Grant is also a well-known Ghanaian investment banker with over 30 years of banking and finance experience.
He has broad knowledge and great exposure in the African financial markets, having served in various capacities in corporate finance and advisory, corporate banking, and marketing. He has cultivated strong relationships with international private equity funds, portfolio and investment managers, and brokerage funds.
Yoofi was in charge of the development and implementation of AAF SME Fund LLC, one of Sub-Saharan Africa’s largest agriculture SME funds, and helped them reach their first close of US$30 million.
Mr Grant is also a member of the African Union’s Continental Business Network, which advises African governments on private sector finance and infrastructure. He has held a number of directorships in both the public and private sectors.
As a partner in the Databank Group, he also served as a director, overseeing the Databank Group’s subsidiaries Databank Agrifund Manager Limited, Databank Financial Services Limited, Databank Private Equity Limited, and Databank Brokerage Services Limited.
He has served in senior advisory roles and led many ground-breaking transactions in Ghana and other African capital markets.
He is also a partner and co-founder of several companies, including Grant Dupuis Investment Limited, a real estate investment advisory firm, and Coldwell Banker Ghana, which holds the master franchise license for Coldwell Banker (of the Realogy Group in New Jersey, the USA, the world’s largest real estate organization) in Ghana and Nigeria.
Furthermore, he recently co-founded Praxis Fortune Calibre, a firm that provides general business, advisory, and consulting services across the continent.
He has served on the boards of several private sector companies in the telecommunications, commodities, and education sectors, as well as on numerous advisory boards.

He served as chairman of Ghana Telecom (One Touch), the Ghana Stock Exchange’s Listing Committee, and the Venture Capital Association of Africa, among other prestigious organizations.
Between 2002 and 2007, Mr Grant served as Special Advisor to the Minister for Private Sector Development, advising and assisting the Minister with policy formulation and implementation, as well as financing for private sector development projects.
He currently serves on the Advisory Boards of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration, the Ghana Export Promotion Agency (GEPA), the Ministerial Private Public Partnership Approval Committee of Ghana, and the ACP Endowment and Trust Fund.
Yofi’s singular vision as CEO of the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre under the Office of the President is to make Ghana the “Best place to invest and do business in Africa.”
He is a Fellow of the Aspen Global Leadership Network’s African Leadership Initiative, West Africa, and lives by the guiding principles of honesty, integrity, and a constant search for solutions. He is divorced and the father of triplets.
