Yemi Alade has released a new EP titled African Baddie

Yemi Alade is dishing attitude with the release of her new EP, African Baddie, which is available through Effyzzie Music.

Spice, Phyno, Bisa Kdei, Zlatan, Bramsito, Joe Dwt File, and Lemar collaborated on the 10-track project.

Prior to the release of African Baddie, Yemi Alade released “Bubble It” ft. Spice, which gained over 6 million views on YouTube, propelling the Nigerian singer into the top 20 on Tik Tok.

“I’m an African Baddie, but it doesn’t mean I’m emotionless,” Yemi explains.

“Every lady can identify with all of the moods on this EP.” The next thing we know, we’re asking a man not to harm us again, and the next thing we know, we’re in front of the mirror telling ourselves who truly has control.”

Not only does Yemi Alade’s new EP take fans through many moods, but she also effortlessly transitions across genres. This corpus of art includes dancehall, highlife, and afrobeats.

Yemi’s Grammy-winning contributions to Angelique Kidjo’s “Mother Nature” album earlier this year, as well as her participation to Beyonce’s Black Is King of 2021, precede African Baddie. This EP garners the same degree of attention and acclaim for Yemi, demonstrating her flexibility as a worldwide performer.

Pounds & Dollars feat. Phyno, Overload, and others are among the tracks on the album. Jo Jo featuring Bisa Kdei, Baddie, and Ikebe featuring Ziatan. Dje Dje ft. Bramsito, Get Down ft. Lemar, My Man (French Version) ft. Dwet File, Bubble It ft. Spice and Begging are among the others.

Yemi Alade is the No. 1 afropop female artist on the African continent, with four albums and three EPs under her belt, and hits such as ‘Johnny,’ ‘Ferrari,’ ‘Na Gode,’ and ‘Bum Bum,’ as well as being one of the first females in the genre to reach over 100 million views on YouTube and over 1 million dedicated subscribers.

Beyond the studio, Yemi has made a name for herself in the entertainment industry, holding roles such as composer, actor, and producer.
