Mohammed Kudus has told Ghanaians that the Black Stars would do better next time following their unfortunate group-stage exit at the 2022 World Cup.
Ghana needed just a draw to go to the knockout phase against old foe Uruguay in their last group game on Friday, but were defeated 2-0 at Al Janoub Stadium, with Andre Ayew missing a critical penalty early in the game.
Many Ghanaians are disappointed by the botched retaliation, which Mohammed Kudus understands properly and addresses diplomatically.
“First and foremost, I want to thank Ghanaians,” the 22-year-old Ajax player stated in a post-match interview.
“I know they are sad right now, but I want to thank them for their support since the beginning.”
