Chairman Wontumi has filed a new contempt case against Kwame A Plus.
According to a summons writ that is now circulating online, the Political Activist is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday, December 13, 2022.
Wontumi claims in the writ filed on December 6, 2022, that A Plus made some derogatory comments on social media against the presiding judge’s decision to punish him and three others.
“That my lawyer would argue that the respondent’s characterization of the verdict as silly and disgraceful is very scandalous of this court.” By such a remark and description, the respondent implies that this Honourable Court’s decision is silly and stupid. This is an affront to the trial judge.”
This follows a recent Tema High Court verdict in which the musician and three others were found guilty of contempt and fined GH60,000 apiece.
