After stabbing her husband to death for attempting to have sex with her, a 27-year-old woman has found herself on the wrong side of the law.
The suspect, simply identified as Odunayo, committed the crime while her husband, Olamilekan Salaideen, 35, was making sexual advances to her at their home in Oko Oba, Oyo town, Oyo State, according to pulse.ng.
According to reports, the couple had recently reconciled after being separated for three months when the unfortunate incident occurred.
When the now-deceased attempted to have sexual intercourse with Odunayo to welcome her back after a three-month separation on Wednesday, November 16, 2022, she resisted.
The couple got into an argument, which turned into a fight. Salaideen smashed Odunayo’s phone on the ground.
Odunayo became enraged and reached for a sharp object, which she used to stab Salaideen in the chest, resulting in profuse bleeding and death.

“A preliminary investigation revealed that the deceased and his wife had returned to their home in Oko Oba, Oyo town, on the day of the incident after being separated for three months.” The deceased attempted to have sexual relations with his wife but was turned down.
“This sparked a fight, and the deceased took his wife’s phone and smashed it on the ground.” In retaliation, the deceased’s wife stabbed him in the chest, resulting in his death,” Oyo police spokesperson, SP.
Odunayo is being held by the Oyo State Police Command and will be prosecuted.
