Captain (rtd) Nkrabea Effah-Dartey, the lawyer for galamsey Kingpin Aisha Huang, has described his client’s continued detention as unfair.
The galamsey queen was denied bail on two occasions by the Accra High Court after her applications were rejected.
Her lawyer, however, believes the court decision is influenced by the fact that she is a foreign national.
The Chinese national, who is currently in prison, is charged with four counts of illegal mining and illegal entry into Ghana.
Nkrabea Effah-Dartey revealed to Citi News that he will seek another bail at his next appearance.
“My client is entitled to bail, and because this virtual hearing denied her bail, my colleague lawyers and I are debating the next step, which is most likely to repeat the application, and if that is denied, we will go to the Court of Appeal.”

“We’ll keep going until we get the bail.”
Captain (retd) Nkrabea Effah-Dartey insisted that his client is married to a Ghanaian.
“Aisha Huang adores Ghana and wishes to remain in the country to continue doing business.” She has relatives in Ghana. It is unjust to say she is a foreigner and a flight risk.”
