Volta Region: 13-year-old boy beheaded at Aflokope-Dove

The Battor-Aveyime Police Command has verified the arrest of a guy accused of beheading his 12-year-old relative at Aflokope-Dove in the Volta Region’s Central Tongu District.

Dovi Tsidi, 26, is accused of beheading 13-year-old Kofi Kuzagbe Tsidi on Sunday about 9:00 p.m.

A self-proclaimed prophetess has also been tied to the heinous murder.

According to Mr. Moses Awukuvi, Assembly Member for the Mafi Dove Electoral Area, the victim “was submerged to ensure that he grew weak before he was slain.”

“They live in the same house.” After the drumming, he carried the corpse from Mafi Dove and crossed the stream at Mlagoe to Aflokofe, where the crime was perpetrated.”

The town was shocked as locals held a drumming competition following the funeral of the victim’s and suspect’s family.

Mr. Moses Awukuvi, an Assembly Member, told Citi News that “the suspect, upon seeing the community was following him, concealed the corpse of the dead beneath the creeks and fled with the head to a maize farm where he put the head behind some leafs.”

According to the Assembly Member, the suspect “went into hiding in a prayer camp where he was with a prophetess Flora Ekpe, who is thought to be associated with the crime.”
