The Ghana Revenue Authority’s (GRA) Domestic Tax Revenue Division has shut down operations at the UnderBridge event Centre in East Legon for failing to register for Value Added Tax (VAT).
This action is part of the authority’s efforts to crack down on entities that fail to meet their tax obligations, resulting in revenue loss to the state.
Mr Joseph Annan, Area Enforcement Manager of GRA in charge of Accra Central, told Citi News that investigations revealed the event centre had not registered for Value Added Tax (VAT) and that it would be sanctioned in accordance with the Tax law.
