Tinubu Secures 99.4% of Votes in Buhari’s Polling Unit

Daura, Katsina State – Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, won an overwhelming 99.4% of votes in President Muhammadu Buhari’s polling unit, amid earlier speculation about the president’s support for the APC campaign.

Tinubu secured 523 votes at the Sarkin Yara polling unit in Daura. In contrast, Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) received just three votes, and Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP) got zero.

President Buhari, 80, had earlier publicly displayed his ballot paper after voting—widely seen as a symbolic move to affirm his loyalty to Tinubu and silence rumors of political distance between them.

The result from his polling station has been interpreted as a strong endorsement of Tinubu’s candidacy from Buhari’s hometown.
