55-year-old businessman jailed 3 years for recruitment fraud

Samuel Boakye, a 55-year-old businessman, was sentenced to three years in jail by an Accra Circuit Court for scamming three people under the guise of supporting them in becoming enlisted in various security organizations. Boakye pled guilty to three charges of defrauding by false pretense. Mrs Patricia Amponsah presided over the court, which found Boakye guilty on his own plea and punished him accordingly. Police investigate Agradaa over alleged money doubling scam

The Ghana Police Service has launched an investigation into allegations of money doubling against Patricia Aseidua, the founder of the Heaven Way Church in Weija, Accra.
