The Ghana Charismatic Bishops Conference has urged the relevant authorities to enforce the laws after fraud allegations were leveled against Patricia Oduro, alias Nana Agradaa, Leader of the Heaven Way Church.
This comes after Nana Agradaa was arrested on suspicion of running a money-doubling scheme that defrauded her congregation.
Speaking on the Citi Breakfast show, Rev. Kwesi Deh, General Secretary of the Ghana Charismatic Bishops’ Conference, believes that law enforcement agencies must take action to put an end to such unlawful acts in the name of God.
“It is possible for people to commit crimes and commit fraud in the name of religion.” Thank goodness Ghana is a civilized society with laws governing all of these crimes. As a result, I believe

The Ghana Charismatic Bishops Conference has also spoken out against calls to regulate churches and their activities in the country.
“This country’s churches are the most orderly. Yes, there are criminals. Furthermore, churches are not afraid of regulation; it is the type of regulation that is being discussed that we oppose. There are numerous registered churches. What we oppose are laws that define how things are done.”
“If someone is involved in a money-doubling scheme, the issue of church regulation should not be raised.” In the first place, it is not a religious action.”
