The Teshie Police Command in Greater Accra Region is looking for Lardi Lukia, who is accused of murdering her ex-husband.
According to a police report, the deceased, Dennis Boye Amarh, 43, was stabbed in the chest by the suspect after a misunderstanding.
The suspect is now on the run.
Dennis Boye Amarh, the deceased’s brother, described the events leading up to his brother’s death to Citi News after filing an official complaint with the Teshie Police Command.
He explained that his brother and the suspect had divorced and that “both had found their respective new lovers.” However, whenever the ex-wife [suspect] meets her ex-[ husband’s deceased’s] new lover, she verbally abuses her. So her ex-husband [deceased] warned her [suspect] to stop abusing his new lover because he does not abuse her [ex- wife’s] new lover.”
He claimed that the deceased “threatened retaliation if his ex-wife continued to abuse his new lover.” They fought that evening, but were separated by a large crowd. The lady returned and threatened to kill her ex-husband before stabbing him with a knife hidden in her garment. As he pursued her, he complained of dizziness. We then noticed blood oozing from his chest and rushed him to Kofi Annan and then to the 37th Military Hospital, where he died.”
Dennis Tetteh, a former Assembly Member from the Akro Electoral Area who led the team to the police station, praised the police for their cooperation and called for justice for the family.

“When the incident occurred on Saturday evening, they filed an official complaint with the police, who have been cooperative with us.” The CID officer in charge has even gone to the scene of the incident, and we will be returning there for the second time. I have to say that the District Commander has been extremely helpful. “The family is hoping that justice will be served,” he said.
