Over 30 Nigerians offloaded in Accra and drivers on the run

The Greater Accra Regional Security Council has directed the Immigration Service to pick up some illegal migrants who have gathered along the streets of Achimota-Abofu in Accra.

According to the Okaikoi North Municipal Assembly, over 30 Nigeriens were offloaded from an Ivory Coast-bound bus in the area on Monday evening by unknown drivers who are now on the run.

Henry Quartey, Chairman of the Accra Regional Security Council (REGSEC), briefed the media on the development.

“The MCE had a hint when he called me that.” These are not Ghanaians, but they were dropped off around 11 p.m. on Monday evening, and we are arranging with the Immigration Service to pick them up from here,” he said.
