Otto Addo to leave Black Stars

Otto Addo has announced that he will step down as Black Stars’ head coach following the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

Following the departure of Milovan Rajevac, the prospect of Addo staying on after the World Cup has dimmed due to his recent comments about focusing on his job at Borussia Dortmund.

According to him, he has no plans to relocate to Ghana anytime soon, as is required for any national team coach.

“I believe that as a national coach, you should live in the country for which you work in the long run.” But I see myself in Germany in the coming years,” Addo told Ruhr14, as reported by Goal.

His contract as head coach was extended after he led the Black Stars to the World Cup by defeating Nigeria in the playoffs.

According to reports, Addo will name his team for the competition next month.
