The National Petroleum Authority (NPA) raided an illegal cylinder refurbishing facility in Makola, Accra, and arrested seven suspects in collaboration with the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) and Ghana Police.
The suspects, who were apprehended after receiving a tip, were refurbishing damaged cylinders and reintroducing them into the market.
During the operation last Friday, three trucks of ceased cylinders ranging in weight from 5kg to 14.5kg, wielding tools, cutting and grinding tools, paints, and accessories were recovered.
