Musician Becca has advised young people to work hard in order to achieve their goals. She stated that it is possible for everyone, just as it has been for her.
Speaking at the 2023 University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA) graduation ceremony on Tuesday, the singer stated that pursuing her education seemed impossible given her many occupations.
Becca, born Rebecca Acheampong, graduated with a Master’s degree in Brands and Communication and a 3.92 GPA, making her the best graduating student overall.
Becca took the stage as the valedictorian of the 2022 class to deliver a speech.
In her speech, the ‘Yes I Do’ hitmaker congratulated her colleagues on their success despite the obstacles they faced.
“Being a mother now, a wife, a career professional, and a singer furthering my education seemed quite impossible, but thanks to my ever-supportive husband, Dr Saani Daniel who was always there to remind me that it was very possible, there is nothing you cannot do under the sun if you dare to try,” she said.”
“I stand here before you as a testimony and confirmation that if you can dare to dream, you can surely have it,” Becca said. I sincerely hope that someone out there is inspired by me or this to strive for even higher and better goals.”
Becca thanked the lecturers and the Vice Chancellor for their guidance throughout the school year in her valedictorian speech. She also thanked parents and guardians for their love and constant sacrifices to ensure that their children receive the education they require.

“To all professors, we pray that you continue this wonderful duty of everyday information transmission and that your well of wisdom will always flow and replenish. God bless you all. You are the foundation of this country, she remarked.
