Lt. Col. Peter Amoah, the military officer who was reported missing on February 25, has been found alive, the Ghana Police Service has confirmed.
According to a police statement released on Sunday, February 26, the officer was located in the Central Region and has since been handed over to the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF). Investigations are ongoing to determine the circumstances surrounding his disappearance.
Lt. Col. Amoah, who is with the Directorate of Army Peace Keeping Operations, was the subject of an intense search after the GAF issued an alert requesting public assistance to locate him. The initial statement urged anyone with information to contact military or police authorities using provided hotlines.
The GAF has not yet disclosed further details on his condition or the reasons for his disappearance.
