Mankessim murder case adjourned

The case involving the death of Georgina Asor Botchwey, a student nurse in Sikafuambantem, a suburb of Mankessim in the Central Region, has been adjourned for the second time by the Cape Coast District Court.

According to the court, the decision is to give the police enough time to conduct their investigation.

The three accused, including the third suspect, who is alleged to have been hired by Tufuhene Nana Clark and another accomplice Michael Darko to dig the hole used to bury the victim, appeared in court today.

The three are still charged with conspiracy to murder and murder, in violation of section 46 of the Criminal and

other Offences Act 1980, Act 29. They have been remanded in police custody until October 18, 2022.
