The 42-year-old man who attempted to shoot Akyem Kade Chief Osabarima Agyare Tinadu the second time has been fined GH5,000.
This came after his appearance in Kade Circuit Court on Tuesday.
The suspect, Osei Forson Kwadwo, was apprehended by police last Saturday after opening fire on the chief and his entourage at a funeral grounds.
Seth Antwi Bosiako, the Municipal Chief Executive for Kwaebirim, has spoken to Citi News about the situation.
“He was taken to court and charged and fined for firing gunshots indiscriminately.” The security service also arrested him on another charge. The chief has also made allegations against him, but he has yet to face charges. The investigation into the chief’s criminal allegation is still ongoing.”

There are suspicions that the suspect was hired to kill the chief over a long-running chieftaincy dispute.
