In the Oti Region, police arrested a man for allegedly killing another person and injuring six others in the Nkwanta South municipality.
John Nana Sei, the suspect, was apprehended at his hideout in the Nkwanta township.
According to the police investigation, the suspect, along with three others and other unidentified persons currently on the run armed with offensive weapons including guns, allegedly fired indiscriminately into the area, killing one person and injuring six others.
The injured victims are being treated at the St. Joseph Hospital in Nkwanta and the Nkwanta Municipal Government Hospital, while the deceased’s body has been deposited at the same hospital for preservation and autopsy.

“The Oti Regional Police Commander visited the bereaved family as well as the injured at the hospital and extended the Police Administration’s condolences and best wishes.” The Command, on the other hand, appeals for calm as the investigation continues to bring all of the perpetrators to justice,” the police said in a statement.
