The National Security Minister, Albert Kan-Dapaah, was subjected to a pre-boarding search, and the Ghana Airports Company Limited (GACL) detained a security guard at the Kumasi Airport for the violation.
According to airport authorities, the security man named Awudu Basit’s behaviour embarrassed the Minister.
On September 8, 2022, a search is alleged to have taken place at the Kumasi Airport’s VVIP Lounge.
The Company’s officer responsible for human resources and officer service, R. S. Tagoe, claimed in a letter that the search left a “poor impression.”
To make room for an investigation, the interdiction was issued.
“Management has chosen to properly investigate the events leading to this incident” because of the harm it caused to the company’s reputation and integrity.
