The Krachi East Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) and Dean of MMDCEs in the Oti Region, Francis Kofi Okesu, has been found dead in a hotel in Kumasi in the Ashanti Region.
The lifeless body of the MCE was found in a room he had booked, according to police sources.
A thorough examination of the body by medical personnel revealed no signs of violence.
According to Luv News, the deceased checked into the hotel late on Friday, September 2 with his driver, Sylvester Attah.
The driver, on the other hand, left to stay at a different hotel.
Mr Kofi Okesu had not been seen since he checked into the hotel, and all attempts to contact him had been futile.
According to investigations, Mr Attah was also unable to reach him on the scheduled day of his return to Dambai on Sunday, September 4.

An official complaint was lodged with the Police by the Manager of the said hotel in Kumasi.
Following that, the police broke into his room and discovered Mr Okesu’s dead body.
The police Regional Crime Scene team went to the crime scene to begin investigating what could have caused his death.
According to police sources, they searched the room but found nothing incriminating so far.
The Ashanti Regional Minister, Simon Osei Mensah, the Mayor of Oforikrom, Abraham Antwi, and other security personnel have since arrived on the scene.
The body was taken to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital morgue for preservation and autopsy.
Police investigations are still ongoing.
