A man in his late 30s was apprehended after attempting suicide by climbing a telecom mast at Kasoa CP in the Awutu Senya East Municipality.
According to witnesses, the suspect, identified as Yayah, was seen climbing an MTN mast on Tuesday afternoon.
Despite the warnings of bystanders, he carried out his act.
When some residents realized he was in danger, they rushed to stop him. He was then turned over to the police for further investigation.

According to Adom News, he blamed his actions on the current economic situation.
This comes just a few weeks after a young man died after being electrocuted while climbing an ECG high-tension pole at Kasoa Galilea.
