The appeal case of social media personality Rosemond Brown, popularly known as Akuapem Poloo, has been set for judgement on December 1, 2021, by the Criminal Court 1 Division of the High Court.
Akuapem Poloo was sentenced to 90 days in prison for publishing obscene material and violating her seven-year-old son’s dignity and integrity in a nude photo she posted on social media.
Her lawyer described the sentence as harsh, and he later appealed against it on his client’s behalf.
Her lawyers, however, failed to complete the processes to secure her release on time after the Criminal Division of the High Court granted her bail of GH80,000 with two sureties.

This situation landed her in jail for a few days before she was released.
Her bail conditions required her to report to the case investigator every two weeks and to leave her passport with the court’s registrar.
