Kristalina Georgieva, the Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), has welcomed Dr Mohammed Amin Adam, the new Finance Minister.
She believes that Dr Amin Asam’s leadership will be crucial in sustaining Ghana’s reform effort and building on the current momentum of strong programme performance and gradual economic stabilisation.
She directed Dr. Adam to make efforts to restore stability to Ghana’s economy.
In the most recent reshuffling, the President promoted Dr. Mohammed Amin Adam from Minister of State to substantive Minister of Finance. He replaced Mr Ken Ofori-Atta.
In a congratulatory message, the IMF director stated, “Your leadership will be crucial in sustaining Ghana’s reform effort and further extending the current momentum of compelling programme performance and gradual economic stabilisation.”
“I would like to assure you of the International Monetary Fund’s continued commitment to support you in these endeavours,”
