Obaapa Christy’s ex-husband claims he has received no financial compensation for his role in some of the musician’s works.

Pastor Love Kweku Hammond insists that despite writing eight of the musician’s songs, he has received no monetary compensation.

“I think I wrote eight songs for my [ex] wife,” he said, adding that the structures at the time were not conducive to tracking revenues.

On the M’ahyease TV show, he was speaking with Afia Tamakloe.

“I can say that music wasn’t making money at the time.” At the time, we weren’t making any money. We gave the song to someone else to produce, which is why we didn’t make any money. They claim there are royalties, but nothing has come of it. “There was no money,” he admitted.

According to Pastor Love, his songwriting abilities helped propel his former wife, then-Christiana Love, into the stellar career she has had thus far.

The couple has been separated for about 11 years.

Pastor Love, on the other hand, says he is currently working with four artists to help promote them in the music scene.
