Ghanaian comedian Kalybos admitted on 3FM Drive with Giovani Caleb that his motivation for campaigning for the New Patriotic Party was selfish.
“I decided to campaign for the NPP Party because of certain policies that aided me,” he explained.
“You will understand if you pay school fees,” Kalybos added. Even when I hadn’t given birth, I was bombarded with fees from family every September. So the policy (Free SHS) was something I felt if it could help me, I’d rather help it survive.”
On 3FM Drive, the comedian told Giovani that, while he did not receive money from the political party, he believed their policies would benefit him.
“No, I was not compensated.” I was going in for the policies. And it helped because, since that policy was implemented, I’ve been able to save money and invest it in various projects.”
However, Kalyboss stated that he has no regrets and believes that his NPP campaign had no negative impact on his career.

“I have no regrets. That’s the problem with me. I didn’t jeopardize my career. As I previously stated, it was for a reason, and I wanted to see it succeed. It had no effect on any of my work.”
