Nana Anini Baffour, the chief of Sefwi Elubo, who was arrested with his brother for illegal mining, has been granted bail.
His Worship Lawrence Buenor granted bail to the two and two others on Monday, September 26.
They were granted bail in the amount of GH100,000 each, with a surety of a Ghana Card.
They are scheduled to appear in court again on Tuesday, October 11.
Nana Anini Baffour and his brother, Kwadwo Affi, were arrested on Friday, September 16 in the Western North Region after a video of their activities went viral.

Some compound houses in town were seen degraded by illegal miners’ activities in the video.
Some of the dugouts led to the chief’s brother’s bedroom.
The police later apprehended two more people, Mr Maxwell Quansah and Williams Acquah.
The accused have been charged with conspiracy to commit crimes and mining without a license.
