The final score for Qatar vs. Senegal: Hosts lose once more while Senegal wins its first African match.
On Friday at the Al Thumama Stadium, Senegal defeated Qatar 3-1. By taking advantage of a mistake made by the Qatari defense, Boulaye Dia gave Senegal the lead in the first half.
At the very end of the first half, he scored. After a corner kick from Qatar, Famara Diedhiou quickly doubled Senegal’s lead in the second half. Mohammed Muntari’s goal late in the second half, however, helped Qatar keep the momentum going.
However, After Mohammed Muntari scored a goal late in the second half, they kept up the pace. Senegal immediately and forcefully reacted, though, as Ahmadou Dieng scored their third goal to reclaim a two-goal lead.
