Body Beatz, a Takoradi-based sound engineer, claims that Ghanaian music star Fameye defrauded Ghanaian/Ivorian music group Climbie Afrika.
Climbie Afrika contacted Fameye for a feature for a song through him, according to Body Beatz, producer of Fameye’s ‘Long Life’ ft Kwesi Arthur.
The group paid GH3,500 to the award-winning musician, and the audio was completed.
Fast forward to May 2021, when Climbie Afrika contacted Fameye again through Body Beatz to have the song’s video shot.
He demanded GH5,000 and both parties reached an agreement on GH4,500 and the music duo paid the agreed fee.
However, Fameye has yet to appear for the video shoot after nearly a year and a half.
Body Beatz explained to Ato Kwamina Otoo D’Gem on Takoradi-based Connect FM that Fameye has failed to honor appointments for the shoot on several occasions, despite agreeing to be present.
He went on to say that in October 2021, he had to do everything he could to prevent Climbie Afrika from arresting Fameye in Takoradi when he arrived to perform at the Guinness Bright House Experience concert.
