A jealous man is currently in police custody for the murder of his ex-husband wife’s in Edwinase-Munsunkwa, a community in the Wassa East District of the Western Region.
The suspect, identified as Kojo Arthur AKA Capo, is said to have committed the crime alongside his friend, Buabeng.
The Assembly member of Edwinase Electoral Area, George Arthur, confirmed the incident to the host of Connect FM’s Omanbapa morning show, Nhyiraba Paa Kwesi Simpson, and revealed that the suspect has three children with the ex-wife, Edufuwa.
“They were married, but they divorced for personal reasons.” The lady moved on and met another man in the next community, but her ex-husband appears to still be in love with her and has decided to fight for her. She and her new husband have no children, but they have been living happily until the tragic incident,” he indicated.

According to him, the suspect went to his ex-house wife’s with a friend in the late hours of Thursday, October 13, out of jealousy, and committed the crime.
“They arrived armed with a machete and other weapons.” When they arrived at his ex-house, wife’s they attacked her new husband and slashed his throat. He died of excessive bleeding because no one could help him. “All efforts to transport him to the nearest hospital were futile due to the poor condition of our roads,” he added.
The body of the deceased, Robert Osei, has since been deposited at Jukwa Hospital, while the suspect and his friend have been turned over to police for further investigation.
“They decided to flee the community after committing the crime, but they were apprehended by some young people.” They restrained them until the cops arrived and handed them over.
They are currently detained at the Atobiase Police Station in the same district, according to the Assembly member.
