The theme of this year’s award scheme is ‘Giving Music A Chance.’ As a result of this, Kusstar Entertainment, in collaboration with Kri8 Concept, has announced the nominees for this year’s edition.
Kusstar Entertainment’s Emerging Music Awards (EMA) have been celebrating deserving fast-rising artiste and personalities in music for four years.
Vanila, Long Life, Buzu Wani, Jay Baba, Ekow Marvel, Long Life, Abbi Ima, Best Gally, Prophet Joseph Atarah, Xupa, and Skannah are among the musicians vying for Artiste of the Year.
Sheriff Keita, Donyrific, BiggBone, Kophi Mystro, Addi Nasha, Kipsie Unruly, and Sly Pee are the nominees for Dancehall Artiste of the Year.
Joint 77, Orkortor Perry, Tokz, Phrings Icon, Best Galley, Boss Gang, Mickey Stone, M2, Kojo Vypa, and Reign Gods were named Hip Hop Artistes of the Year.
Gracee J, Laty, Jvb Music, Mama Boat, Magnus, Papa Owura, Obaa Vida, Kdm, Alvin David, and Prophet Joseph Atara were named Gospel Artistes of the Year.
Kwame Taadi, Long Life, Soorebia, Buzu Wani, Timeless Gh, Rany Dopesongs, Akonta Gh, and Essilfie were named Hiplife Artistes of the Year.

Enounyam, Mama Boat, Grace J, Obaa Vida, Sellasie Brown, Ruth Ackaa Gyasi, and Shylar were named Female Vocalists of the Year.
This year’s awards ceremony, which will be held on October 1 at the Accra Metropolitan Hall, will feature 30 categories.
In an interview with Prince Kusi, CEO of Kusstar Entertainment, the event’s organizers, he expressed his delight that Kri8 Concept is partnering this year.
“The event has been running without support for three years now, but I am delighted that Kri8 Concept is partnering with us this time to improve the event.” We are in our fourth year, and each year has been better than the last. “We’re very confident that we’ll have a great show this year,” he said.
Sir Solomon won Artiste of the Year in the inaugural edition in 2019, Gayana won the following year, and Black Sheriff is the current winner.
