The occurrence occurred in the space of 5 seconds at approximately 11:55 a.m.
East Legon, Lapaz, Adabraka, Gbawe, McCarthy Hill, Mallam, Madina, and Kwabenya are among the areas affected.
People in areas where the tremor was recorded have already taken to social media to share their stories.
Twitter users shared their tremor experiences.
According to reports, Ghana has a significant earthquake fault line that runs from the McCarthy Hill neighborhood in Accra west toward the Central Region.
The McCarthy-Weija catchment area is assumed to be where the fault line’s epicenter is situated.
A few Ghanaians in the impacted areas also posted about their experiences on social media.
