Following a disruption to its prepaid metering systems that left customers stranded, the Electricity Company of Ghana is now able to sell credit at its district offices.
Customers in the Greater Accra, Central, Eastern, Western, and Volta Regions can currently purchase electricity from ECG district offices.
In a statement, ECG assured customers using its prepaid metering systems that its team is “working progressively to correct the technical anomaly that impacted the purchase of electricity.”
Some electricity customers have been counting their losses, with some claiming that their businesses have suffered as a result of their inability to purchase electricity.
