CODA CEO:  Plans for a sea bus system in Ghana are underway

Jerry Ahmed Shaib, Chief Executive Officer of the Coastal Development Authority (CODA), has revealed the government’s intention to establish a sea transport system in the country.

In an interview with Umaru Sanda Amadu on Face to Face on Citi TV, Jerry Ahmed Shaib stated that the Authority is “working on a sea transport system referred to as the CODA sea bus.”

He stated that the bus will travel from Axim to Denu.

“Fortunately, the President has directed that work on the landing beaches be undertaken by the Ministry of Transport and GAPOHA.” The ferry will stop at the landing beaches, according to the structure. We are in serious talks with a private institution and have made significant progress,” he added.

The CODA CEO believes that once implemented, the initiative will significantly improve the country’s traffic situation.
