The Anti-Robbery Unit of the Ghana Police Service has shot and killed two thieves who were involved in the Caprice robbery incident that took place on Friday, December 9, 2022, in Accra.
According to a statement issued by the Ghana Police Service, a third suspect who was also involved in the crime has been detained.
The robbers were discovered in the Central Region’s “Gap,” a neighborhood of Liberia Camp. It is “believed” that the area serves as a hideout for skilled criminals.
On December 11, 2022, information from the Anti-Robbery Unit led to the thieves’ hiding place in the Liberia camp. A police officer was shot during the exchange of gunfire between the robbers and the police.
At the Police Hospital in Accra, the officer is currently receiving medical care.

The Unit has taken money that was recovered from the robbers and will use it as an exhibit.
The Ghana Police Service wants to reassure the populace that they are secure and that they will hold all of the responsible parties accountable.
