One of the suspects in the attack on a mobile money vendor in Budumburam camp, Kasoa in the Central Region, has been shot dead by police.
According to information gathered, the deceased resisted arrest and attempted to flee even after he was handcuffed, resulting in him being shot dead by police.
The deceased suspect, identified as Kwame, was wanted by police in connection with a dawn robbery attack on a mobile money vendor at Buduburam in the Central Region’s Gomoa East District.
The suspect resisted arrest and physically injured a police officer during an operation by personnel from the Central Regional Police Command on Friday night.
On December 30, 2022, the robbers shot Michael Anderson, a 28-year-old Mobile Money vendor, at a public toilet facility in Buduburam.
The operator of the public toilet facility was also robbed at gunpoint during the dawn robbery.
Michael passed away on January 5, 2023, while being treated at Winneba Trauma and Specialist Hospital.
