Akuapem Poloo, a Ghanaian socialite, will return to court on October 25, 2021.
This was made necessary by her lawyer’s appeal after she was sentenced to 90 days in prison for publishing obscene material and violating the dignity and integrity of her seven-year-old son in a nude photo she posted on social media.
On Friday, April 16, 2021, she was sentenced to prison.
Her legal team, led by Andrew Vortia, argued that the sentence was too harsh and filed an appeal.
Her lawyers, however, failed to complete the processes to secure her release on time after the Criminal Division of the High Court granted her bail of GHS80,000 with two sureties. This situation landed her in jail for a few days before she was released.

Her bail conditions required her to report to the case investigator every two weeks and to leave her passport with the court’s registrar.
