A 57-year-old woman has been placed on remand by the Ejisu Magistrate Court in connection with the death of her 23-year-old housekeeper in Awomaso, in the Ashanti Region.
The prosecution claims that during questioning the suspect, Janet Nsiah, confessed to mistreating her housekeeper, Akua Kyem, which resulted in her death.
Police have discovered a cutlass, knife, and wire at the residence of the suspect, according to the prosecution, which are thought to have been used to allegedly inflict wounds on the deceased.
In order to give police more time to finish their investigation, the prosecution asked the court to remand the suspect.

The suspect was remanded by the court to police custody with a new court date of October 11, 2022.
According to the deceased’s grandfather, Kwarteng Peprah, the family wants justice to be served in this case.
