3-year old girl flogged to death for entering neighbour’s room

A three-year-old girl died after her 25-year-old father severely flogged her for entering a neighbor’s room.

Delta State police in Nigeria have arrested the young father, identified as Godsgift Uweghwerhen, and he is cooperating with their investigations.

The suspect committed the heinous crime in the Aladja community of the state’s Udu Local Government Area.

“It was reported that Uweghwerhen was at home with his family members and their neighbors when he saw his daughter emerge from one of his neighbors’ rooms.”

Uweghwerhen, enraged by his daughter’s actions, pounced on her and beat her with a cane, inflicting injuries on the victim’s body.

“However, the three-year-old girl was said to have died as a result of the beating, and when he realized the gravity of his actions, he fled the scene.”

“Luck ran out of the victim’s father when vigilantes arrested him in Ubogo community and handed him over to police officers in Ovwian/Aladja Division,” according to pulse.ng.

DSP Bright Edafe, Delta Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), said the suspect would be arraigned in court for prosecution after the investigations were completed.

In an earlier report, a man suspected of homosexuality was arrested for allegedly raping to death a 5-year-old boy.

Sikiru Ajibola, 36, was apprehended by Ogun Police Command operatives.

Abimbola Oyeyemi, the state Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), confirmed the incident and the arrest.

In an earlier report, a man suspected of homosexuality was arrested for allegedly raping to death a 5-year-old boy.

Sikiru Ajibola, 36, was apprehended by Ogun Police Command operatives.

Abimbola Oyeyemi, the state’s Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), confirmed the incident and the arrest of the suspect.

Ajibola is accused of committing a crime in the state of Ogijo.

Oyeyemi revealed that the chairman of the community development association, Olorunwa Arogbeja, filed a report at Ogijo divisional headquarters, which led to the suspect’s arrest.
